The Canyonville Downtown Association will be holding a Canned Foods Drive at the Canyonville Pumpkin and Music Celebration. This will be the first year the newly formed Canyonville Downtown Association will collect food for the local food bank.

Canned foods and monetary donations will be collected at Pioneer Park on Saturday, October 24th throughout the Pumpkin Festival and at select donation sites throughout the community.

The collected food will benefit the Lion's Club Holiday Food Baskets and the South Douglas Food Bank in Riddle, which is seeing an increased need due to difficult economic times. They provide food boxes to needy families prior to Thanksgiving and Christmas. The food will provide holiday meals for many local families.
