Entries must incorporate pumpkin or pumpkin seeds in the recipe and must be created by the entrant. Prizes will also be awarded for second and third place in each category.
No commercially created entries will be accepted.
Entrant must submit their created dish along with a printed recipe that includes ingredients and directions. Recipes should be typed or neatly written. Please include name, address & phone.
No entry fee to enter. Limit one entry per person.
Entries must be large enough to accommodate 8 servings. A duplication of the entry for donation in the Bake Sale would be greatly appreciated. Recipe not required for Bake Sale item.
Entrant’s name must be clearly marked on the bottom of the container. Entrant’s name and address must be on the back of the recipe cards.
All entries must be on disposable plates, pans, or containers.
Entrants must allow newspapers and festival related publications to publish their recipes.
Delivery of Entries
Entries should be delivered to the Pavilion in Pioneer Park on Saturday, Oct 24, 2009 between 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Judging
Entries will be judged on overall presentation, most creative use of pumpkin, and flavor. A panel of celebrity chefs and local dignitaries will review all entries and select the winners. Judging will occur at 11:30 AM. Awards will be presented at 3:00 PM. This event is meant to be an enjoyable experience for the public. Decisions made by the judges are final.
